River licensed and Certified Physical Therapists and Physical Therapy Assistants addresses a child’s ability to participate in age appropriate activities and facilitate normal gross motor development, helping each student to lead a playful and active life!
Our Physical Therapists and PTA’s seek up-to-date treatment options, equipment and adaptions to treat each student’s functional mobility and gross motor needs in order for the student to participate in school activities and lead an active life.
We know that balance and stabilization are essential for a child to feel independence in their mobility while at school. Students are often seen completing fun obstacle courses in therapy while targeting coordination and motor planning goals.
Our PT’s and PTA’s are all highly trained in working with children with a wide range of disabilities and each therapist is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association. We develop customized therapy program and IEP goals that are suited to each students’s unique and individual needs.
We believe that every child should be an active participant in life and not sit on the side-lines due to a disability or injury. River School Therapies not only gets children back into the game of childhood, but helps to build their self-esteem, confidence, and spirit.
